Yapton and District Cottage Gardeners' Society

To promote horticulture, cookery, craft and photography among people of all ages in the Yapton area.  This will also help increase social contact among the residents.

The Society works at the local primary school with volunteers encouraging the Children on a weekly basis to grow flowers and vegetables.  Wherever possible the children take the produce home.

Approximately 150 members are enrolled in the Society.

Yapton and Ford Local History Group

The Group gives the inhabitants the opportunity to acquire greater knowledge and understanding of the village's history.  The current membership is 50.

West Sussex Mediation Service

The Service continues to assist six families in Yapton who are suffering disputes requiring mediation. These conflicts would have a wider influence on the community. Our work prevents disputes escalating and can improve the health and wellbeing of those suffering conflict. We reduce the burden on statutory and other support agencies. Anyone can use our free service.
